Biography

AdB is the brainchild of a young Italian couple fans of the culture and aesthetics fetish and SM (sado-masochistic), as well as design and quality craftsmanship that distinguishes the Made in Italy, but with a look which also refers to fashion and sub-culture of the great international cities. From the combination of all these factors, the brand Atelier du Bizarre born, as well as the name suggests, to bring to a sartorial level, of the products with models and design completely original, such as masks, harnesses, collars, cuffs and others accessories with fetish and SM aesthetics. These items arise, in fact, in an atelier located in one of the major world capitals of fashion : Milan. Always relegated to the subculture, this kind of accessories are flooding into the collections of lingerie and haute couture, when it does not influence the style of entire collections, bypassing even the scope of the underwear: they are in fact used just as you can use any other accessory, such as a belt, necklace or bracelet with a time of widespread use (you can see it matched to an evening dress or to jeans and t-shirt), also strongly urged the exit from the underground culture S&M and fetish . Just look at the worldwide success of some best-selling books, as well as by the proliferation of workshops bondage (a practice that is part of the universe SM). All this combined with a great care and attention to details, makes the product branded Atelier du Bizarre, an accessory absolutely unique, which becomes indispensable in the total look both as underwear as overwear.

AdB nasce dall’idea di una coppia di giovani italiani appassionati sia della cultura e dell’estetica fetish ed SM (sado-maso), oltre che del design e dell’artigianalità di qualità che contraddistingue il made in Italy, ma con uno sguardo che rimanda anche alla moda e alle sub-culture delle grandi metropoli internazionali. Dal connubio di tutto ciò, nasce il marchio Atelier du Bizarre, che come anche dal nome si evince, vuole portare a livello sartoriale con modelli dal design del tutto originale, prodotti quali maschere, harness, collari, cuffs, accessori insomma in genere con estetica fetish ed SM, che nascono appunto all’interno di un atelier situato in una delle principali capitali mondiali della moda: Milano. Da sempre relegati alla sottocultura, questo genere di accessori sta entrando prepotentemente nelle collezioni di lingerie e di moda di alta gamma, quando addirittura non influenza lo stile di intere collezioni, scavalcando anche l’ambito dell’underware: vengono infatti utilizzati proprio come si può usare un qualsiasi altro accessorio, quale cintura, collana o bracciale, con un occasione d’uso molto estesa (si possono vedere abbinati sia ad un abito da sera che ad un jeans e maglietta), fortemente spinti anche dall’uscita dalla clandestinità della cultura sadomaso e feticista. Basti guardare il successo mondiale di alcuni libri best seller, nonché dal moltiplicarsi di workshop di bondage (una pratica che fa parte dell’universo SM). Tutto ciò unito ad una grande cura ed attenzione per i particolari, fa del prodotto a marchio AdB, un accessorio assolutamente unico nel suo genere, che diventa ormai indispensabile nel total-look sia underwear che overwear.

Qui sotto potete vedere le maschere ufficiali, con le quali, verrà celebrato il sodalizio tra > Versatile < e > Atelier du Bizarre <. Insiseme ai ragazzi della > MouseADV <, abbiamo dato un volto all'idea di decadenza che è il fil rouge di quest'edizione di Versatile. I nostri personaggi stimolano il lato oscuro dell'immaginario, accompagnando il pubblico in un ambiente rarefatto ed evocativo, sui bassi della musica elettronica più ricercata, mixata da Dj di fama internazionale. Il tutto immerso nella magica cornice architettonica della città di Alghero.. Nella performance di apertura, noi di A d B officeremo il matrimonio tra due delle realtà che hanno dato vita a Versatile 2014, riportando l'accento sull'aspetto più arcaico della musica: quella del rito, di quel momento in cui la realtà si dissolve, dando la possibilità ai simboli di rivelarsi in tutta la loro pienezza. Il fil rouge è la decadenza; la cura è la costante ricerca, per tener accesa l'attenzione attraverso codici estetici poco convenzionali...

29-06-2014. In occasione dell'evento > Carnalism <, c'è stato il primo incontro "live" tra noi e la bravissima performer Tiger Orchid, per la quale > Atelier du Bizarre < aveva già creato una maschera per l'evento del Torture Garden di Roma 2014. Una delle performance di Carnalism ha avuto come protagonista proprio Tiger Orchid, la quale indossava maschera ed accessori by Atelier du Bizarre.

At the event > Carnalism <, there was the first meeting "live" between us and the talented performer > Tiger Orchid <, for which > Atelier du Bizarre < had already created a mask for the event of the 2014 Rome edition of Torture Garden. One of the performance of Carnalism had as its own protagonist Tiger Orchid, who was wearing a mask and accessories by Atelier du Bizarre.
